Shah Jalal Masjid & Islamic Centre · Bangladesh Welfare Association
Rooted in Faith,
Serving the Community
Shah Jalal Masjid & Islamic Centre has been at the heart of Muslim life in Rawtenstall for decades, providing a place of worship, learning, and community support for families across the Rossendale Valley.
The masjid is managed by the Bangladesh Welfare Association — a volunteer-led organisation committed to serving the congregation and the wider community with transparency and dedication.
Located on Grange Street in Rawtenstall, our three-floor facility accommodates daily prayers, Jumu'ah, a Madrassa programme for children, and community events throughout the year.
Our Madrassa provides Qur'an classes and Islamic education for children and adults, nurturing the next generation of the community.
From welfare support to community events, we are committed to the wellbeing of every family in the Rossendale Valley, Muslim and non-Muslim alike.
Five daily prayers with Jamā'ah, weekly Jumu'ah khutbah, Taraweeh during Ramadan, and Eid congregations for the whole community.
Shah Jalal Masjid & Islamic Centre operates as an excepted charity under the Charities Act 2011, managed by the Bangladesh Welfare Association. All donations are used solely for the benefit of the masjid and the community it serves. For enquiries contact sjrawtenstall@gmail.com.
